More Dog Paper Piecing Patterns

One of my favorite projects is highlighting a paper pieced dog block in a toss pillow. It’s such a great way to add a bit of color to a couch, chair, or bed. It’s also a great conversation piece.

This PUG pillow is the first dog pillow I created. I just love it so much! Not sure if it is the huge eyes, the little tongue, or just all the neutral gray colors, but everytime I walk past this little guy, I smile.

This sweet COLLIE pillow was made by Julie. I absolutely adore the bandana fabric she used for the background. It’s the perfect compliment to the Collie’s black fur.

Here is Kelsey’s awesome creation! She made a great rendition of an “Andy Warhol” pillow, using my CORGI pattern. I LOVE this pillow.

Here are a few more of my newest dog designs. BICHON FRISE

CAIRN TERRIER

BLUE HEELER

WEIMARANER

And, last but not least, the RED MIN. Needless to say, some of these breeds I had never heard of until a customer requested a design. So please, keep those requests coming. It is such a fun challenge, and I am learning a new appreciation for the subtle differences between different dog breeds.

  1. The Andy Warhol Corgi is a hoot. I’ve been thinking of doing that same treatment, but instead of changing the color of the background I was going to change the color of the Corgis. Technicolor!

    1. Hi Barbara,
Clever idea! I know Kelsey also toyed with the idea of reversing some of the Corgis.

  2. Oh my goodness, those dogs are adorable!

  3. Ok, those dog designs are wonderful! I have a baby grand son who will likely be a chore dog lover because he is being raised on a ranch. I may have to make some off these.

  4. Do you have a pattern for a yellow lab? My son and his wife just had to put their lab down due to bone cancer and I think it would be nice to do something like this for them .

    1. Hi, My pattern is for a black lab, but could you just use different colors? See attached link.https://www.etsy.com/listing/509113411/labrador-paper-pieced-block-pattern-in?ga_search_query=labrador&ref=shop_items_search_1

    2. Hi Dona,
Could you simply use my Labrador pattern and change the color of the fabric?

  5. Adorable!! You are quite talented.

  6. Cute, cute patterns of these dogs!

  7. Cute dogs. You linked up with One MOnthly Goal but it isn’t clear that you have a goal in here for April.

    1. Hi Patty, How do I post a goal?

  8. Great dog patterns. Love the crazy Boarder collie. I might have to get one or 2 patterns to try out. I do agility with my black lab Gemma. Last year we went to Nationals.

    1. Wow, Cathy, good for you and your sweet black lab!

  9. Fun dogs ;))

  10. Love your dog patterns! The faces make me smile! It would be cute to see a fresh bulldog!

    1. Thanks Dawn! I have a bulldog, but did you mean you want to see a different one than this one? Top right hand corner of this quilt.

  11. Wonderful! I need to see if you have a cocker…

  12. These are absolutely adorable! I cannot pick a favorite. Maybe the terrier, but no, that tilted head of the Bishon melts my heart. You have really captured some personality in these. Love them all!

    1. Thanks Karen. I often design blocks for customers who own dogs and they send me photos of their pets. This helps me capture the personality.

  13. Just too cute!!!

  14. I just can’t get over how adorable the Corgi pattern is! They’re all adorable!
