Northwoods Paper Piecing

Enjoying my mug of chai on the deck. What a lovely view! After spending the weekend at my cabin in northern Wisconsin, I felt excited to share this table runner pattern. I designed it with the northwoods in mind.

This is “At The Cabin” , which measures 16″ wide x 40″ long.

Included in the table runner is a grinning wolf…

a lumbering bear...

a crafty fox

and a majestic moose…and some trees, of course!

“At The Cabin” is adorning my dining table in my rustic cabin, and always makes me smile.

  1. Hi Marney,
I have to wonder where in the northwoods your cabin is, since I’m in SE Wisconsin. Just how far north?!! Your bear is beyond fabulous. I made a quilt for my mom and step-father about a year ago and used a panel. Had I seen this realistic bear before that, I would have MADE myself do this paper pieced glorious version. The requirements for the quilt were to include a bear, moose, wolf and eagle. I think you have all of those covered. Should I reconsider making them another quilt – this is the pattern for me. Happy Wednesday! ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. I am near the town of Wausaukee, just north of Crivitz. Are you familiar with that area? We call it the “near north”. I live in Oshkosh, so it is less than a 2 hour drive from my home.
