Valentine’s Table Topper

My SWEET HEART PAPER PIECED TABLE TOPPER is a cute Valentine’s Day accent to any room.

Three paper pieced blocks are sewn together to form the center unit of this table runner, which measures 16″ wide x 27 1/2″ long finished.

This sweet little project can be made from scraps. Do you think this pattern would also work as a breast cancer project because of the pink ribbon? Tell me your thoughts…

  1. I think this would be a wonderful breast cancer project. In fact, it was the first thing I thought of when I saw it. Every year my dearest friend has a breast cancer evening event at which she has presentations by professionals in the field of breast cancer (health, psychology, resources, etc.) and an opportunity for those who have been touched by breast cancer (patients, survivors, caregivers) to know that they are not alone. Each year I make something for her to give to those who attend. I am currently working on a pink afghan for her to raffle off. This pattern would be perfect for next year. All that being said, I love your patterns and have purchased and made many. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent. I’ll be purchasing this pattern today.

    1. Hi Toni, That’s what I thought, but wasn’t sure it would work for breast cancer because it has the hearts in it, not just a pink ribbon.

  2. Marney, your designs are adorable and so creative. I am new at quilting in any form and am stuck with your PUPPY LUV quilt. when your instructions say, “piece the sections in numerical order, pressing and trimming after each patch addition”, I am confused as to how they are adhered. Are they fused with fabric fuse? It doesn’t appear to that they are sewn together (each little piece) and then placed on. Please help. I feel a bit silly to be so confused. I am wondering how I could get your answer fast as I would love to begin this soon. I have all the pieces cut and ready. Thanks so much.
