One of my proudest moments in 2018 was the creation of the “Doggie In The Window” quilt. The Orange County Quilters Guild in California contacted me in 2017 about using my dog block patterns to create their next Guide Dogs Of America charity quilt. I was thrilled!
The hard working guild members used 30 of my different dog breeds to construct this 60″x 70″ masterpiece. The quilt traveled throughout the US during 2018, and was raffled to a lucky winner in December. This is their big yearly contribution to their favorite charity, Guide Dogs of America.
I have been designing paper pieced dog blocks since 2014 and now have about 50 different breeds. This obsession started as a fun way to connect with my customers. They would email me photos of their pets, and I would try to recreate their breed in a quilt block.
I created this quilt pattern, “Dogs Only” after designing my first 11 dog breeds. Then all **** broke loose, and I was flooded from all over the world with requests from customers who wanted a specific breed to substitute into this pattern. Here are some of my favorites…
Do you see what I mean by my “obsession”? You can see many more doggies on my Etsy shop….and if you see a breed I am missing, drop me an email at:

If it is significantly different than a block I already have, I might be tempted to continue with my fave obsession!

I have enjoyed the all dogs quilt pattern and am almost finished with my own. Your creativity is exceptional and your fun is over the top.
Thank you Mary.

Thanks Pam…so sweet of you to say that!
OMG I totally love the quilt and I love that it benefits the dog charity. Mary’s paper pieced animals, especially dogs, cats, and farm animals, have so much personality especially when wonderful happy fabrics are used!
Your doggies are absolutely adorable! What a beautiful collection of block patterns to offer!
Some real cuties here.
So pleased my Percy is forever immortalized in these quilts. I love the one I made of him and often think of making more – obsession indeed.
Aaaaw Kathleen, he was a perfect model! Such a cutie.
These little furry friends are just too cute!
