Camping/Glamping

My sweet customer Julie suggested I design some paper pieced Camping/Glamping blocks. I’m not so clear on the “glamping”, but the “camping” suggestion was spot on, especially with summer just starting.

I decided that 9 blocks would be the best. Nine is enough for a quilt, but customers could also just purchase 1 or 2 blocks for smaller projects. The 9 designs are CAMP TENT, CAMP FIRE, PICNIC TABLE, VINTAGE CAMPER, CANOE, OUT HOUSE, BEAR FISHING, HOWLING WOLF, and FIRE UP THE GRILL.

CAMP TENT
CAMP FIRE
PICNIC TABLE
VINTAGE CAMPER
CANOE
OUTHOUSE
BEAR FISHING
HOWLING WOLF
FIRE UP THE GRILL

Each 8″ x 8″ unfinished block can be purchased separately, buy them as a group at great savings! Set of 9 CAMP BLOCKS.

Thanks for the suggestion Julie! Keep them coming.

  1. Great idea. Maybe sometime you can add a backpack, mosquitos + bug spray, hiking boots with hiking stick, sleeping bag, Lantern and/or Flashlight. One other creature we see camping north or south US are snakes. One would be sufficient thank you. This is no way a diss on what you have already accomplished. Please remember that. I just thought back to when I went as a Girl Scout, then as a family, finally just what we packed to send the boys off. Looking forward to making this…. Oh yea, a canteen. That’s it. Take care😊

  2. You need a mosquito. I love all of these designs. I hated going to my grandmother’s outhouse because of the daddy long legs! How about one for your collection?

  3. What a great idea! Your Glamping Camping blocks are so so cute! These will be the perfect blocks for a summer RV camping quilt. I love them all, but I think the campfire and marshmallow block is my favorite. Have a great day, Mary!!

  4. Your new camping pieces are wonderful. And you did them so fast.
Love them but don’t know who goes camping.
    You are wonderful, as usual.

    1. Hi Diane, It looks like you already found the CAMPING BLOCKS patterns. I sent you an email about the kids fabric for the school bus quilt.
